MORE BOOKS

Hello again
I have been into my craft studio/shed this morning and been sorting out my other mini books and oh my god i really didnt realise i had so many im ashamed to say i have all these wonderful books and the most i have done with some of them(most of them lol)is flick through i know im a real bad person for having these great books and not using them i should be slapped with a wet fish....! So i came up with an idea (dont hold your breath its a real long shot) but if i choose one book each month and work through it i should come up with some great minis...mmm thats all fine except the bit i missed out was these books need a certain amount of talent and ability so maybe i should just stop there and just sell them all lol...
Im going to give it a go and see if i can come up with anything.
Here are the books

Whilst going through all these i came across a book that i have had for the longest time it was a gift but i truly have never had a reason or a use for it. Its not 1/12th scale but im sure a clever person could easily adapt the patterns thing is im not that clever so i thought someone else could use it. Its in excellent condition its only been looked through twice and been kept in a smoke free environment so if anyone would be interested in swapping then its yours just let me know as i only have one you have to be quick not to miss out.

I also have a duplicate of this one that is a miniature book and same thing goes for this one if anyone wants to swap its yours just let me know.
as i only have one of these you have to be quick not to miss out.

  1. Your idea for using one book a month for inspiration is great. Buying beautiful miniature books is such a pleasure and one I enjoy too. I'm looking forward to hearing your book ideas, reminds me of the Julia Child movie. Cheers, Jean

  2. Hi Rachel - as you're working through your library why not add a review of each book to your blog. I'm sure others would also like a fellow miniaturist's opinion of a book before deciding whether to add it to their own collection or not. Some I've bought in the past aren't worth the paper they're printed on. Which one are you starting with? Allison x

  3. I'd swap for the Soft Furnishings book Rachel. I don't know what I could swap...money maybe? :)

I'm sure you'll make some wonderful miniatures by working through just one project a month, not too much pressure and plenty of time.

  5. It's a really good idea to do one thing from one book in a month - I sometimes have these 7 new meals from a cookbook times, it's actually pretty fun :)

And I think Allison's idea is great, you could tell us which of the books are good and which not, I also have a couple books that are really useless.

    Have a great weekend,

    Ira
