MY FIRST FINISHED HUTCH

I hope you are all having a chance to make minis. A few weeks ago i posted pictures of some michaels hutches i have it seems that my stash has built up and i now had eleven hutches that needed finishing i already have at least three in my other houses i may re-do at some point but today i made a start on some of the others i actually managed to fill two and paint another two but i only have a picture of one of them i will take more pictures tomorrow but for now heres a picture of the first completed one i did today i kind of like the way its turned out i was so nervous to work on these in case i spoiled them i know i have quite a few but i have plans for all of them and if it went wrong then i wouldnt be able to get any more as their not available in the UK i have been lucky enough to get mine in swaps from the US well anyway enough prattle heres the picture

    May I ask what type of paint you used?
    I have trouble with mine looking a bit too thick!

  2. Hi Deni thanks i just used acrylic paint it was the stores own brand nothing fancy im having a lot of fun with these

    I have Jo Sonyas but thats a bit thick and then when it is thinned out it is too thin lol doesn't cover but I have folk art paint that will work well I think!

    They are hard to get over here now as well...my store hasn't had them in months.

  6. Its not fair the US has lots of great minis that are not available in the UK or other countries i pout when ever i see all the lovely mini things other people have lol...

  7. Oh I know how you feel Rachel! Im in the same boat too!!
    Im very lucky that my daughter lives in the States and sometimes i can talk her in to sending me a few things if I'm lucky!!!

  8. Your very lucky to have such an understanding daughter Deni my family still dont get my fascination with miniatures and i know they are shocked at how much space it takes up lol...
